Metronidazole Help Get Pregnant How Safe Is Metronidazole For Pregnant Dogs?

How safe is Metronidazole for pregnant dogs? - metronidazole help get pregnant

I have a miniature Daschund, who was very ill suddenly, one morning, I think it may be pregnant, even though only about 2.5 weeks. He cast a spell that had terrible dioreah was blood in the stool. I took her to the local vet, and after nights not say much, but it sparked an Rx. Metronidazole 250 mg tabs. Twice to half a tab should be a day with a soft, nutrition, and a packet of Canine FortiFlora get sprayed on the food once a day ... To anyone else had this situation before? If you have or how safe it is, it let me know! I am afraid that if she is pregnant, it could be harmful to puppies. Thank you!

  1. It is safer, drugs, rather than relying on in order to be suffering guiardia. And you can catch it, to be sure to keep it clean hands. If the parasite does not stop during pregnancy, the boys are going to happen and kill them.

You really have no better solution than trying to now, especially if she is pregnant. They lose all meaning if it allows the veterinarian to treat him with medicine.

  2. I think you have said, if interpreted veterinarian, meaning that they could be made pregnant. Give me a call and ask. Nobody here is qualified to this question - only the licensed veterinarian who respond to the medication prescribed.

  4. Have the vet to be pregnant? If so, then the vet has taken into account when prescribing a medication.

If not the phone, to a veterinarian, veterinary, ANY, and ask them.

  5. Metronidazole can cause birth defects in rats at high doses. But I do not know if it will cause problems in pregnant animals at normal doses.

  6. Did you tell them that you could be pregnant? Metronidazole should not perscribe a pregnant animal, as it can affect some types of birth defects.

    Please call your vet again.
